Every GMI Transport truck is fitted with the latest in GPS tracking systems to allow for live positioning and reporting. Our live tracking system updates every 20 seconds so our team can see the exact position of any load 24hrs a day, and because our tracking system is internet based, we can give every client access to our bespoke tracking system.
The system also provides us with live traffic information which updates every 3 minutes. This enables us to spot any major incidents and helps us divert vehicles to an alternative route where one is available. This is a hugely effective tool that means we have the upper hand in the fight against traffic delays and means we can get your goods delivered more effectively more than ever before.
In addition to the vehicle tracking and the live traffic information the system also reports to us on any pre-determined exceptions such as speed warnings or hazards. This means that we always know precisely where our trucks are, we know when to steer our trucks around unwanted delays and we can also make sure that they’re operating within the law.
